I have created the Doxology Shift website first and foremost as a personal reference site for Canonical and Non-Canonical biblical scripture, as well as Egyptian theology. A verbatim copy of the "About" page on the Doxology Shift website is written below;

"A long time ago, in another life, I used to have an friend who would criticize me for my Christian beliefs when I have not in fact read the bible. Little was I aware how much of an enormous impact that would have, not only in my general beliefs, but also in my entire understanding of the word, and how that would subsequently impact my life. (That and the fact that those years where by far the hardest years of my life, which I believe strengthen my walk with God). That was in 2008, and I never did get to thank my friend.

So much that is taught about the word is either conjecture, fabrication, or an outright lie. People, as a whole, do not know what is actually written in scripture and form their views solely on what they where told. This in turn, causes an infectious ignorance and misunderstanding. I do not feel it is my job to convert, for even Jesus said "If any household or town refuses to welcome you or listen to your message, shake its dust from your feet as you leave." -Matthew 10:14 (NLTse), however, I do feel it is my job to inform people of what scripture actually says and to allow them to interpret for themselves. In addition, above all, I feel I am to encourage people to do their own studying and research. It is not my intention to be preachy or arrogant, these writings are my personal understandings. We are all human, and like everyone else, I to am susceptible to flawed understandings and teaching. I welcome and encourage effective criticism and civilized debates. For it is in healthy controversy that we all can grow.

I do consider myself a Christian who has great interest in Biblical and Egyptian theology. And this website is the public birth of my doxology shift."
